Explainers? Teach on!
eLearning for everything from veterinary practice software, to sustainable chocolate sales training, to teaching nurses about sensitive medical protocols? Deftly delivered.
Jen uses her improv skills to bring scripts to life in self-directed sessions, yet she takes direction with ease. When a creative team wishes to provide detailed guidance, she turns to Source Connect for directed sessions. Audio engineers use this industry-standard software to record remotely from anywhere in the world.
Sometimes, though, it’s things right here at home that matter most, and Jen lends her passion to political spots wherever a voice for truth and justice is needed.
As an advocate for the arts and her community, Jen serves local nonprofits and small businesses with the same level of care and excellence she brings to her large, corporate clients. This includes the art of storytelling via audio tours and audiobooks, which were what first drew her to explore a career as a voice talent.
Filmmaking and immersive arts are also a cherished part of Jen’s portfolio. She is a founding member of Rebeloop, the only loop group in the Pacific Northwest. She has years of experience providing additional voices in post-production for films and games. With Rebeloop at her side, she will bring dimension to the audio for your TV series or virtual reality project. If you need looping or ADR, Jen will see that you are well taken care of!
ABOUT
Curious and attentive. Warm and engaging. Comforting and approachable. In all honesty, it’s tough to come by a voice that both calms and enthralls your audience—but that’s what Jen Gosnell promises and delivers in her voiceover work.
A professional voiceover actor with over 10 years of experience, Jen has an impressive range in her sound. From a trustworthy tone perfectly suited for healthcare and financial subject matter, to sarcasm that flawlessly fits character work, you can trust her with any genre. In every project, Jen has a sincere attitude and effortlessly takes direction. She’s also always improving on her craft, regularly working with a professional coach.
Voiceover isn’t the only industry Jen could be called an expert in. Her former career was in software development and project management, giving her a great understanding of technical topics and a keen eye for detail. She is also a classically trained singer. Pop, country, folk, jazz, and even polka, there’s nothing musically off limits for this mezzo. Jen’s breadth of professional experience gives her a distinct advantage in voiceover—she knows enough to be dangerous in a variety of fields and is never afraid to try something new.
Jen lives in Portland, Oregon and works from her professional-grade home studio equipped with a Neumann TLM-103 microphone, a VocalBooth 6×6, and a Universal Audio Apollo Twin interface. Outside the booth, Jen stays busy as a mom of two children and a dog mom to her six-year-old beagle Johnny, whom her family rescued from a research facility. She’s also crafty—you can often find her at a pottery wheel, taking a meditative break from reality to make a beautiful set of coffee mugs.
Let your imagination loose in the free range of In All Honesty VO. Jen is the curious, calming, and enthralling voice to take your project to the next level.
